Although its flourishing past in the 19th century brought it a population of around 600, Apremont-sur-Allier has now returned to a peaceful rhythm, with its 71 inhabitants contributing to its discreet charm.
Visit the Apremont Floral Park
This 3-hectare park offers a sublime mosaic of French, English and Japanese gardens. It's a haven of peace that comes into its own in spring, from the Easter weekend onwards, when it is decked out in its most beautiful colours. Tulips, primroses, narcissi, fruit trees and magnolias in bloom will make up a multicoloured, vibrant tableau. 🌺🌸🌷
This Floral Park, which has been awarded the "remarkable garden" label, is sure to win you over with its 5 hectares of beauty. Designed by Gilles de Brissac and created from 1970 onwards, the garden features ponds, waterfalls and 18th-century-inspired fabriques.
Since it opened in 1974, the park has been enhanced by a Chinese pagoda bridge, a belvedere and a Turkish pavilion.
The stables have now been added to this enchanting tableau, and in 2024 will offer a spectacular immersive ride called "Le Grand Départ", while a museum of 19th-century horse-drawn carriages will delight history buffs.
