Located in Lurcy-Lévis, in the heart of a small village in the north of the Allier department, Street Art City is a former PTT training centre that had been abandoned for some twenty years. The old centre has been completely refurbished to accommodate this ambitious project: a residency for artists from all over the world.
It offers an immersive walk through around a hundred monumental murals created by artists from the four corners of the globe.
The only one of its kind in the world, this site dedicated to urban art and graffiti covers 10 hectares and 13 buildings, with a total surface area of 7,000 m² and almost 40,000 m2 of frescoes, both inside and outside the buildings.
Nearly 300 artists of 52 different nationalities have had the opportunity to express themselves on the walls of Street Art City buildings!
Street Art City features a wide variety of works, all of remarkable graphic and aesthetic quality, which is Street Art City's guiding artistic principle.
The visit begins with a walk around the outside. You'll discover frescoes in bright colours and a variety of styles. The themes are as diverse as they are varied: nature, animals, characters, scenes from life...
You can then visit the interior buildings. There are exhibition rooms, a hotel, a restaurant and even a wine bar. The frescoes continue inside, creating a real immersion in the world of street art.
